Alan Rickman, who plays Prof Severus Snape in the Harry Potter films, is to fund a bursary at his old school to give someone the same opportunity he enjoyed.

The actor's donation will pay for a pupil from a disadvantaged background to attend the £13,470-a-year Latymer Upper in Hammersmith, west London.
Rickman, 62, won a scholarship to the school after his father, a factory worker, died when he was eight.

A spokesman for Latymer Upper said: "We're very glad when someone donates to the school, regardless of their background."
During his time at Latymer Rickman did well and was made a prefect.

In one interview he said its air of detachment suited his temperament, observing that "Latymer was like a cold gust of wind to the brain".
However, he said it was difficult leaving his previous world behind.
"You want to run away, you know you've got to come to terms with it. You find yourself becoming middle class, and you have to deal with that. You feel guilty and you have to come out the other side of that," he said.

Two years ago Rickman addressed A-level drama students at the school and promised to get a couple of them work on the next Harry Potter film as extras.

La donación que el actor pagará a un alumno de un fondo desfavorecido será de 13,470 £ anuales para asistir al Latymer Upper en Hammersmith, al Oeste de Londres.

The last 18th October was celebrated delivery of the Scream Award 2008.
The big winner of the night was the movie "The Dark Knight" that pick up 12 wins and his protagonist Heath Ledger ( Joker) won the award to which our favorite was nominated, but Sweeney Todd didn´t go away without anything, won two awards, "Best Horror Movie", and "Best Actor in a Horror Movie or TV Show" to Johnny Depp.

El pasado 18 de Octubre se celebró la entrega de los Scream Award 2008.
La ganadora indiscutible de la noche fue la película "El caballero Oscuro" con 12 galardones y su protagonista Heath Ledger ( Joker) le arrebató el galardon a nuestro favorito, pero Sweeney Todd no se fue de vacio ya que gano dos premios, "Best Horror Movie" y "Best Actor in a Horror Movie or TV Show" para Johnny Depp.
El 31 de Octubre se podrá ver la ceremonia por TV en TNT.

The movie led by Alan Rickman, is triumphing in the box office of USA and Canada. Its being showing for two months at the cinema and quite encouraging information has just came out it has managed in this time to exceed 3.6 million dollars in box office.
And not only that, the sales of wine in the Valley of Napa has increased and the tourism also!!


La película protagonizada por Alan Rickman, está arrasando en la taquila de USA y Canada.
Lleva dos meses en cartel y acaban de salir datos bastante alentadores, ha logrado en este tiempo exceder los 3.6 millones de dolares en taquilla.
Y no solo eso, en el Valle de Napa ha aumentado la venta de vino y el turismo!!

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows in two films

Warner Bros has now issued their formal press relase on making Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows in two films.
The Part one and Two will be filmed at the same time, beginning production in February of 2009, with “Deathly Hallows: Part One” to be released in movie theaters November of 2010, and Part Two due May 2011.

Warner Bros ha publicado un comunicado oficial anunciando que el rodaje de Harry Potter y las Reliquias de Muerte serán dos películas.
La Primera Parte y la Segunda, serán filmadas al mismo tiempo, comenzando la producción en Febrero de 2009 con "Reliquias de la Muerte: Primera Parte" para ser estrenada en Noviembre de 2010 y la Segunda Parte en Mayo de 2011.

Alan Rickman filming HP at Gloucester Cathedral.

FILMING has started on the sixth Harry Potter movie at Gloucester Cathedral.
Cast and crew are on site at the historic building this morning, which doubles as the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
Stars already spotted arriving include Daniel Radcliffe, who plays Harry Potter, and Rupert Grint, who plays Ron Weasley.
They arrived on set at around 10am, accompanied by Alan Rickman, who plays Professor Snape, Dame Maggie Smith, who plays Professor McGonagall, and Tom Felton, who plays Draco Malfoy. Also spotted were a number of doubles - lookalikes including Ron Weasley and Draco Malfoy.
Alan Rickman was also later caught on camera in full make-up as Professor Snape, as was Rupert Grint, who plays Ron Weasley.


El RODAJE de la sexta película de Harry Potter ha comenzado en la Catedral de Gloucester. El reparto y el equipo están en el set de el edificio histórico desde esta mañana, que se transforma en la Escuela Hogwarts de Mágia y Hechiceria.
